The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Dear AGA friends and stakeholders,

We want to provide you with an update on our current COVID-19 plans.

The AGA remains temporarily closed in the interest of public health and safety. We are aware of the recent Provincial announcement that museums and galleries will be able to re-open as early as May 14, provided recommended capacity, sanitation and social distancing conditions are met. Our team is currently developing a plan for when the AGA will be able to safely re-open and will be making an announcement shortly. Thank you for your understanding and patience, keeping our audiences healthy and safe is our first concern.

In the interim, please visit #yourAGAfromhome and follow us on social (@youraga) for engaging content including weekly art activities, webinars, artist conversations and more. Thank you for your understanding and best wishes to all.

Visit Alberta Health Services and The Public Health Agency of Canada for factual and reliable information on COVID-19.
