The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. “I can’t imagine a more perfect place to spend a day or weekend in Edmonton,” said Catherine Crowston, Executive Director and Chief Curator, Art Gallery of Alberta. “The new Royal Alberta Museum is a long-awaited addition to the downtown arts district, and the AGA looks forward to working with them to share art, culture and heritage with Alberta. Museums inspire thought and creativity and engage people with new ideas and experiences. To contribute to the celebration of this exciting addition to our fabulous City, the AGA will be also opening our doors during the RAM’s inaugural week.

"We are so excited to welcome the RAM to the most creative street in town," said Chantell Ghosh, Executive Director, Citadel. "They are an excellent and welcome addition to the Arts District. We look forward to all the great things we know we can do together!"

“The arts are essential to a healthy, vibrant society, and we are thrilled that the grand opening of the Royal Alberta Museum is finally here.  They have joined the Citadel, Art Gallery of Alberta, the soon-to-open Stanley Milner Library, and the Winspear to round out the Arts District with their family-oriented and fascinating offerings," said Annemarie Petrov, President & CEO ESO|FWCM. "The RAM was a favourite destination for my family in their previous location, and we can’t wait for their doors to open.”

Edmonton is known for its art and soul. The Arts District partners welcome Edmontonians to visit all of the fantastic arts venues on the block!
