Gel Transfer print on Birch Panel
This piece is from a body of work titled “21st Century Nesting Practices” that developed over a five-year period (2012-17). This nest was photographed at a friend’s farm near Smoky Lake AB, which is a magical place, full of life. It was a special moment to find the clutch of eggs: a reminder of the cycle of life surrounding us, and the importance of shelter and ‘home.’
