Gwynne Valley Trees

People often think that you need to “go somewhere” to find exciting photographs. I’m often inspired by these getaways myself. New surroundings, fresh vision...all that sort of thing. But the truth of the matter is that there are good photographs to be had everywhere. This one is a case in point. My wife, Colleen and I used to fairly regularly take day trips near home to “see what’s out there”. On one such trip we were near the end of our excursion and just driving home. I happened to look over, and these trees in the ditch and on the gentle hills presented themselves. It was a great way to end a trip and it remains one of my favourite photographs from that day out.
