Todd Hirsch

Todd Hirsch with Janvier artwork   Alex Janvier Grand Entry

“I’ve always been attracted to colours, especially when they’re represented in the abstract. The organic patterns and curves of Alex Janvier’s Grand Entry keep drawing me in. The hints and suggestions of the Aboriginal images blend and melt into the long arcs of colour, almost like a dream – you can never quite pin down the image, yet it floats there before you. I can gaze at this piece for a long while, and come back to it again and again. And each time I notice something I hadn’t seen before. The painting almost seems to move and pulsate.”
