Join us on December 14th for a lecture by Professor Narayan Khandekar from Harvard University, who will speak about the world-famous Forbes Pigment Collection, which houses 2,700 historical and important colours from around the globe. These pigments are actively used by conservation scientists at the Harvard Art Museums, who rely on the sample for testing and reference material. This lecture is part of the public program for our new exhibitions that celebrate colour ROYGBIV and Soak Stripe Splatter: Collecting Colour at the AGA. We hope you will join us, as we learn about the pigments that make up the backbone of the art on display at the AGA and worldwide.
You can participate in this free hour-long program online by watching our Zoom Livestream or Facebook Livestream. Advance registration is required. After the lecture, there will be time for a live Q&A with the audience.
