The founder of D.I.R.T. studio and professor of landscape architecture at the University of Virginia, she focuses on contaminated, neglected, and forgotten urban and post-industrial sites. The prestigious Oberlander prize is given to a recipient that is “exceptionally talented, creative, courageous, and visionary” and has “a significant body of built work that exemplifies the art of landscape architecture.”
Organized by the AGA and West Vancouver Art Museum, the exhibition Cornelia Hahn Oberlander: Genius Loci will travel to Winnipeg this November.
