Experience high quality, unique programming for children of diverse ages, backgrounds and experiences, that lets you and your classes/groups participate in engaging activities connected to AGA exhibitions.
Develop skills in visual literacy, experimentation, collaboration, problem solving, innovation and interaction, through both the conceptual and technical side of art and the art-making process.
All of our programs use a constructivist approach to art education.
What's available? Our programs and resources
AGA school programs support the goals of the 21st Century Skills Framework such as critical thinking, problem identification and solving and innovation. They provide support to all areas of the Alberta Education Programs of Study, not only art education.
Build your program by choosing from exhibition visits, studio programs or a combination of the two. Or, experience a more immersive, multi-day art apprenticeship program.
School programs are available in English, French or Spanish.
Professional development and classroom resources
From teacher appreciation evenings with tours and make-and-take projects, to customized PD sessions for you and your colleagues, our educators work with you to succeed in the classroom.
We also offer a selection of free classroom resources to download and use.
