Edmonton-based Soft March writes happy songs about sad things; drawing comparisons to Blue Rodeo, Barenaked Ladies and The Jayhawks. What began as a songwriting partnership between Paul Jensen and Joel Kleine has grown into a folk-rock band with drummer Tanner Onciul and singer/guitarist Dave Von Bieker. With strong melodies, harmonies and engaging arrangements to draw in the listener. Soft March pens stories of love and loss and everything between — songs that punch you in the gut and then buy you a beer.
Their debut album Farewell Party released in November 2017 has received radio play across Canada, reaching #3 on Earshot’s national charts. They’ve supported the legendary Skydiggers as well as touring acts The Wilderness of Manitoba, Jon & Roy and more.
