Silk Concepts Art Cards

If you are looking for unique, artful clothing and accessories, gifts, and decor, you have come to the right place!

Silk Concepts focuses on different applications of hand-painted silk. Our products range from wearable art scarves with hand-drawn images to a collection of fashion scarves in beautiful, contemporary colour combinations. There are also uniquely designed garments that have been made from luxurious hand-painted silks. Then, last but not least, there are hand-drawn and -painted silk compositions from artist and business-owner Darcy Gusse Edinga. These pieces are sold as matted and framed originals, but can also be found as prints, art cards, magnets, and coasters.

Established in 1985, Silk Concepts has been in business for over 30 years. Darcy started out her business in Edmonton, Alberta as a small-scale production of hand-dyed silk products, like jewellery and silk scarves. At first, it was only a part-time endeavour, but gradually, the business grew and evolved as gift shops across Canada starting selling her artwork. Darcy was able to focus entirely on her business and has been doing it full-time ever since. She currently has a team of talented and dedicated individuals helping her in the studio - a bright, walkout studio in the basement of her family's home in Red Deer, Alberta.
