Messanie Raphaël

Messanie Raphaël is an Edmonton based Caribbean Canadian Artist that uses symbolism; poetry, movement, rhythm in her work to follow subjects such as collective experience, emotion, human connection, isolation, and identity. Messanie implements Easter egg messages within her works and connecting with her inner child. Referencing her younger self in her artworks she is able to bring dimensions of playful, vibrant, youthful innocence, pure wonder when addressing harder conversations; topics including loss, loneliness, change, and acceptance.

Messanie is passionate about collaborations, concentrating on bringing talented Edmonton-based artists to work together on Music video MNLSA by DNA house and productions.
