We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Mario Griffith

Mario Griffith was Born in Calgary Alberta and was raised mostly in Edmonton Alberta by his mother. With family spread around the world from Barbados, the United States to the United Kingdom. Currently residing in Edmonton Alberta where he has been working as a tattoo artist for 3 years.  Fundamentally the tattoo industry is a major inspiration; however, the major source of his artistic inspiration is the journey of life and how we progress. “Growing from the darkness, lifting from the night into the light. By the wisdom and knowledge that passes into me from life itself I feel the connection we all share and to me the influence is LOVE.”

Mario creates his paintings using acrylic, paint markers, glass paint, and spray paint.

As a self-taught painter, he has said that “this is simply how I express myself and I have made these canvases into an outlet for my own personal journals”.
