My pottery is inspired by the rural Albertan landscape I live in. My home and studio are nestled in the taiga forest surrounded by sand dunes, muskeg and clay deposits. Every piece of work I make has a little bit of the area in it. Whether that be the glaze that is made from Albertan wood ash and calcined deer bone or the images of the skulls and bones of the animals that roam the area. High Temperature gas kilns give me the ability to melt the raw natural materials with very little intervention
