Jeweliyana Reece

CALGARY, AB  |  Jeweliyana grew up in Calgary and was always creating something. When she was introduced to glass in 1994, her fate was sealed. Life and motherhood kept things on simmer through 2010 when she opened her company, InFused Glass Works.

She was awarded the People's Choice Award from Parks Canada and featured in "Art Takes Times Square" in 2012. Her work can be found in numerous art collections throughout North America and far away places like the UK and Turkey. One of her best known public works is "View from a Secret Bridge," a mosaic incorporating fused glass at the historic Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary. She has also created custom windows and backsplash installations for private collectors.

She currently creates and teaches from her home studio in Calgary where she has been practicing the art of painting as well. As of 2022, she is focusing more on this medium and is excited to share new work soon.

Meet the Artist

Hi! I'm Jeweliyana. I'm an artist and a happy "mad scientist" at heart. I've always loved to explore, create and question things. I think "How?" was my middle name as a child. That evolved into "How CAN we? and "How can we make it FUN?" I didn't realize at the time that questions are like seeds, plant them, nurture them and they give birth to the answers. I've been creating "full time" since 2010 when I opened InFused Glass Works to explore the enticing awesome world of glass fusion. Never being one to color inside the lines, I also paint and love to design things - like patterns for imprint and digital art NFT's. Inspiration calls us in many ways. The journey that unfolds when one follows their heart is not always easy but it's the only way to truly live this life to the max.

Science has proven that everything is energy. I think that's why I'm drawn to those juicy, joyful little innuendos and depths. They surprise and delight and spread good vibes wherever they are.

Enjoy!
