The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

F&M

F&M band photo

Fearless and meticulous; fragile and melancholic; forthright and mighty. F&M (Rebecca & Ryan Anderson) is a baroque-pop outfit with a penchant for dark lyrics and mesmerizing melodies. Rebecca contributes hauntingly pristine vocals, adventurous keyboard arrangements and emotional snapshots, while Ryan offers a soulful croon, sturdy guitar riffs and wryly astute lyrics. Their last album, At Sunset We Sing, was shortlisted for the Edmonton Music Prize and earned a Best Alternative Album nomination at the Edmonton Music Awards.  Five of the band’s last six albums appeared on the Earshot charts — including 2010’s Sincerely, F&M, which was N0.1 on the national folk charts for six weeks. F&M is gearing up to release a new album Lessons From Losers on September 21 2018.
