Danniel Oickle

MONTREAL, QC  |  Guillotine (Winner of the 2016 Phénicia Award for Innovation), designed and created by Montréal artist Danniel Oickle, began as a collection of unique haute couture accessories fashioned completely by hand for the distinguished person who simply wants killer style. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind wearable architectural piece, individually hand-sculpted of fine polymer and finished with repurposed vintage silk.

Oickle created the first bow tie in 2014 for himself to wear at an exhibition of his fine art. People clamoured to get a "Nœud Foncé" and by January 2015, Guillotine was in full swing and the demand had exceeded the supply. Now, Guillotine bow ties and accessories are treasured in the high fashion circles of Montreal, New York, and beyond. This enthusiasm is due to the quality of materials used and the attention to detail in the manufacturing of the accessories, all done completely by hand.
