In the heart of the Alberta Badlands sits Caracol Clay Studio, the gallery and studio of husband and wife artists Janet Grabner and John Dahm. Inspired by the Badlands around them in East Coulee, Alberta, Janet and John's porcelain and stoneware often features fossil motifs and scenes from Albertan landscapes. Their works are full of colour and bold patterns.
The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Nitsitapi / Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/ Saulteaux/Anishinaabe. We also acknowledge all of the Indigenous, Inuit and Métis peoples who make Alberta their home today.
