"My favourite piece in the Art Gallery of Alberta collection is Alex Janvier's The Ceremony. I love Janvier's work because he is bold and does not hold back from having frank conversations around tough issues facing our country. That is exactly the kind of art we need in an age of reconciliation. Janvier is able to convey many thoughts and emotions through is art. I find the simplicity and colours used in The Ceremony quite moving. "

 

Randy Boissonnault is the Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre and the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on LGBTQ2 Issues. Prior to his election, Randy was a successful entrepreneur, community leader, and philanthropist. He has a strong record of leadership in business, in public service, and in the not-for-profit sector.
