AGA Board of Directors welcomes a new member

Edmonton, AB (December 3/12) – Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) Board Chair, Barry Zalmanowitz, Q.C. announced today the appointment of David Bryan to the AGA Board of Directors.

David Bryan is the Office Managing Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Canada Edmonton office and has over 15 years experience advising and assisting organizations of all sizes, helping them improve their performance and implement corporate strategies. He also has extensive experience in the area of problem loan recovery, corporate reorganization, as well as financial due diligence and merger integration. David received his degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Chartered Insolvency & Restructuring Professional (CIRP).

“We are happy to have David Bryan join our Board. His profile in the community and business and management experience will contribute to the continued success of the AGA”, said AGA Board Chair, Barry Zalmanowitz, Q.C.

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a centre of excellence for the visual arts in Western Canada, connecting people, art and ideas. The AGA is focused on the development and presentation of original exhibitions of contemporary and historical art from Alberta, Canada and around the world. The AGA also offers a full-range of art education and public programs. Founded in 1924, the Art Gallery of Alberta maintains a collection of more than 6,000 objects and is the oldest cultural institution in Alberta. It is the only museum in the province solely dedicated to the exhibition and preservation of art and visual culture.
