Edmonton, AB (October 1/12) – Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) Board Chair, Barry Zalmanowitz, Q.C. announced today the appointment of Chris Fowler, President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Western Bank (CWB), to the AGA Board of Directors.
“We are delighted to have Chris join the AGA Board. His judgment and experience will help us to grow and continue to be recognized as a leading Canadian public art gallery,” commented Zalmanowitz.
In his role at CWB, Fowler is responsible for banking operations, credit risk management and CWB’s residential mortgage division and mutual fund dealer. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Fowler will bring this knowledge and expertise to the AGA Board of Directors. Fowler received a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia and is a former member of the Canadian National Rugby Team.
