Join us for a fun French-filled evening at the Gallery! We will be offering French exhibition tours of Toulouse-Lautrec & La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910, a free talk by Todd Babiak and the Alliance Francaise d’Edmonton, and Toulouse themed button making. Plus! Take in a special choir rehearsal of different French pieces by Les Chantamis!

Nous vous offrons des visites guidées en français de l’exposition Toulouse-Lautrec & la vie moderne: Paris 1880 à 1910; une discussion avec Todd Babiak et l’Alliance française d’Edmonton ainsi que vous pourrez créer des macarons de Toulouse. De plus, vous pourrez assister à une répétition toute spéciale de la Chorale les Chantamis.

Come to your AGA for a creative night filled with hands-on drawing activities and featuring a drop-in workshop with local artist Lee Nielsen!

Lee Nielsen is an interdisciplinary artist based in Edmonton Alberta. In 2008 he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Alberta College of Art and Design. He has exhibited locally and nationally and has work in private collections in Canada and the United States. In 2011 He was awarded an Individual Artists Project grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. He is currently represented by the Christine Klassen Gallery in Calgary, Alberta.

In addition to his art practice he has worked in a variety of fields as an animator, illustrator, concept artist, and designer. In 2003 he initiated a sole proprietorship, Humanate Enterprises, to deal with illustration work. Since then it has expanded to include art, illustration, design and other related projects. In 2011 he took up teaching and currently leads the Digital Illustration and Sequential Art program at Guru Digital Arts College in Edmonton.
