1. We have children. Should we get a Family Membership?
If your children are under six, they get in for free. A single parent or a couple in which only one partner intends on visiting the Gallery may wish to choose an Individual Membership.
For those families with teenage children who prefer to attend alone or with friends instead of with family, a Family Membership would be the best fit as you can have two adults and up to four minors (ages 13-18) all with their own Member cards.
2. Can my teenager attend alone if we have a Family Membership?
A Family Membership entitles you to up to four cards for minors living in the same household as the primary Member. Of course, you are welcome to make your teenager the second cardholder on your Family Membership if there is no second adult in the household—either option will enable them to bring friends or siblings, who are also minors, with them for free.
3. Who qualifies as a student?
Anyone with a valid student ID from a post-secondary institution is able to purchase a Student Membership. Teenagers between the ages of 13-17 years, who are in public school, may also purchase a Student Membership.
4. Who qualifies as a senior?
The AGA recognizes anyone 65 years or older as a senior.
5. I am a senior but my spouse is not yet 65. Can we get a Senior Couple Membership?
As long as one of you is 65 years or older and you are living in the same household, you can buy a Senior Couple Membership.
6. What if I want to renew my Membership early?
AGA Memberships can be renewed at any time. If you renew before your expiry date, your existing expiry date will be extended by one year. You will never sacrifice time on your Membership for renewing early.
7. What if I want to change categories of Membership partway through the year?
If you wish to upgrade your Membership to a different category within the first six months of Membership, you will pay only the difference between your original dues and the dues of the new Membership category. If you want to upgrade within the last six months of your Membership, you will pay the entire upgraded Membership dues, and your expiry date will be extended by one year.
If you wish to downgrade your Membership, you may do so at any time; however, no refunds will be given.
8. What is the refund policy for Memberships?
AGA Memberships are non-refundable except in the case of Gift Membership, which can be either refunded or transferred to another individual at the same level, but only within 30 days of purchase.
