New Acquisitions: Views and Vistas is the second in a pair of exhibitions to showcase recent acquisitions to the AGA collection. Featuring works that were acquired in the last few years, Views and Vistas demonstrates how the landscape has been and continues to be a focus for many Canadian artists.

From historical paintings by  A.J. Casson, Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson and William Johnstone to George Hunter’s photographs of Canadian coal mines in the 1950s, this exhibition also features contemporary images of the land by Edward Burtynsky, Gregory Hardy, John Hartman and Lynn Malin.
