Canadian museums in the 21st century are being re-envisioned by internationally-known architects and celebrated on the world stage. The AGA has created this special section to complement the Museums in the 21st Century exhibition, focusing on the newest building projects on the Canadian scene and the changing role of the museums behind them. Can these buildings have a transformative effect on our cities? Are these museums symbols of our national identity?
The exhibition includes contributions from the recently opened Art Gallery of Ontario, Royal Ontario Museum and the Gardiner Museum in Toronto and the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
